Fundraising for Archives

Fundraising for Archives is fundraising skills development and training project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund's Catalyst programme. The National Archives received a grant of £477,000 and aims to reach 188 archive services across the UK.  We are working in partnership with The Scottish Council on Archives, Public Records Office for Northern Ireland (PRONI), Museums Archives and Libraries Division Wales (MALD), and the Archives and Records Association (ARA).

The project will run from early 2016 until December 2017 and is designed to offer mentoring and support to trainees and encourage the development of a supportive learning network between group members. Each round of training will run for a six month period during which time we will expect to see support from senior archive or organisational managers to ensure that this level of resource commitment is supported by the archive service.
