Celebrating three decades' support for manuscript conservation

The National Manuscripts Conservation Trust is the only charity in the UK with the sole purpose of supporting the conservation of manuscripts in our archives, libraries, museums and universities.
This is the NMCT's 30th anniversary year and our Annual Report features not only all grants that were awarded during 2019 but also some of the grants, both large and small, awarded in the last 30 years.

In 2019 we awarded grants totalling nearly £160,000 and, as always, the range of collections that are now benefiting from conservation is huge.  They include the conservation of the 14th century court rolls for Doncaster Archives; engineering records for the Mills Archive Trust; and medical records of Richard Bright (1789-1858) for Norfolk Record Office.  Among the past grants featured are awards to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Skye and Localsh Archives and West Glamorgan Archives.
