In 2011 and 2012 alone, the NMCT gave grants totalling nearly £320,000. Thanks to this support manuscripts as varied as cinema plans, the papers of the first Duke of Wellington, the archive of an ironworks, one of three surviving Bibles written in England in the 14th century, rare Cornish language manuscripts and letters of William Wordsworth have been conserved.
